Obituary

Phillip Scott Annin, 71, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017. He was born Oct. 17, 1945, to the late Floyd and Lucile Stinson Annin. Phillip was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Owensboro High School and retired from Glenmore Distillery after 40 years. Phillip enjoyed hunting, traveling and had a fascination with guns. He also enjoyed times with family and hosting barbecues at his house where he would get to show his expertise at the helm of the pit. In his later years, he allowed others to use the pit, but he was sure to be there making sure things were being done to his liking. Phillip loved his family and will truly be missed.

Phillip is survived by his wife of 48 years, Paula Annin; a son, James Byron Annin; a daughter, Kelly Lynn Annin; grandchildren Kelsey Anderson, Jacqueline Annin, Koa Schroeder, Kalani Schroeder and Corey Michael Leachman; great-grandchildren Jayden Annin and Karbin Sky Lucero; a sister, Melinda Annin; and his furry four-legged companion, Mayzee.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Red Cross, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warriors.
