In her youth, she was a competitive athlete and held the Ladies City Championship title in tennis. Jonell was passionate about UK basketball, following every game. In recent years, she enjoyed knitting and sharing her many creations with friends and family. Jonell was a successful realtor for 30 years and especially enjoyed connecting with her clients, many of whom became close friends. She was a good friend to many and was a good listener. Jonell's greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; following their sporting events, playing cards, and making summer visits. "Sugar" was always there for them.
