Obituary

BRIAN DOUGLAS SEBREE, 40, of Corydon, Indiana, formerly of Owensboro, made his glorious trip to heaven to meet his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Daviess County January 10, 1978 to Martin and Mary Aud Sebree.

Before his illness prevented him from attending, Brian loved to go to church at Lewis Lane Baptist Church where he played on their softball team. He last worked for De Am Ron where they were very supportive in the early stages of his illness. He graduated from Apollo High School in 1996. Brian loved the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed supporting the team by always wearing a St. Louis ball cap. Brian was never a materialistic person but he thoroughly enjoyed his Mountain Dew.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Mary Aud Sebree in 2000, his brother Christopher Sebree in 2011 and his sister, Violet Sebree in 2013.

Survivors include his sons, Isaac Nathaniel Sebree of Bowling Green and Luke Alexander Dickens of Owensboro; his father, Martin Sebree; his loving extended family, Nikki Sebree-Ligon of Bowling Green, Laurie, Ronnie and Bryan Sapp, of Owensboro, Sam and Susie Hohiemer of Masonville and Elise Chandler of Owensboro; two nieces and one nephew; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins.

The family would like to express thanks to the staff of Bishop Soennecker Home in Knottsville who loved Brian and cared for him until he moved to Corydon. They would also like to express sincere gratitude to Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for accepting Brian into their facility and making it a home for Brian. They went above and beyond any expectations the family could have ever thought about. The employees loved Brian and became part of his family. Each one of them had their little stories about Brian and they were so appreciative of how he positively impacted their lives. They loved and supported the family during his illness with heart felt compassion. We thank God for them.

Kindred Hospice of Jeffersonville, Indiana was an added comfort to Brian and the family. They spent numerous hours with him and supported the family during the last month. Rhonda and Adrienne were exceptional and it was certainly transparent that they were using their God given gift.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, September 21 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. The private burial will be at St. William Cemetery in Knottsville.
