Obituary

Anna Lee Lane Dockery, 76, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her home. She was a kind soul who will be dearly missed. She was born July 28, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to the late William Franklin and Odessa Powers Lane. Anna Lee was retired from Owensboro-Daviess Co. Anna Lee was an avid sports fan who loved baseball, softball, football, basketball especially U.K., and watching car racing. She loved spending time with her family and talking about her family tree. Her greatest passion was watching her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids play in their various sports, cheering them on, and loved eating the cheeseburgers at the games. She was known as "Grandma" by many of the parents at the ballfields and they always loved seeing her. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing bingo, working crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite T.V. show, Wheel of Fortune. Anna Lee collected miniature dolphins and angel cheribs. Her favorite places to eat were Golden Corral and the BBQ ribs at Texas Roadhouse. She also enjoyed traveling to the beach and looking at license plates to see what states people were from.

Besides her parents, Anna Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Dockery in August of 1975, a son, William Dockery on June 8, 2013, and a brother, Robert Lane in 1984.
