So very sorry for the loss of this lovely lady. I was the coordinator of Reach to Recovery for many years and Lucy was a volunteer I could always count on. Many of the women she saw had just had life changing surgery and diagnosis. When Lucy came in dressed up, make up and hair prefect, these women saw that they could be well and whole again. She was such a blessing and I am blessed for having known her.

My sincere condolences to Janet, Bruce, and Brian. Your mother was extremely proud of each of you. Lucy, you will be missed more than words can express. It was an honor to be entrusted with your care. I will never forget the time we spent together singing, listening to music, and sharing stories of your family history. You were a role model of kindness, grace, modesty, and dignity. You may be gone, but your legacy will remain with everyone who was fortunate to know you.

There is so much that I could write about my friend from the first grade. The first time we played together was in the apartment over her uncle's restaurant . The last time we were together one of my sons and I spent the night at her home when we came to O'boro for a luncheon with the few remaining people from our high school class, so there would never be enough room to tell about all the things we shared during the in-between years. But i can say that Lucy was always a beautiful, lovely person and dear friend. You, her family, were so blessed. And so was I.

Bruce, Janet and Brian,
I'm so sad to learn of the passing of Lucy....she was an Angel on earth. I didn't know Lucy all of her life but she knew me all of mine. It's really fair to say that Lucy and Ralph were an were an important influence on me, I'm so blessed that they both passed my way. When I think back on my youthful and young adult years the thoughts would be incomplete without reflecting on Zion Church and the Kunze's. Many blessings to each of you and thank you for sharing your parents with me.

What a special beautiful woman. She was always so kind and took me under her wing when Joe and I were first married and members of Zion. We were fortunate to have them as neighbors also for a few years. Ralph and Lucy were a wonderful testament to living good and loving lives. I have fond memories of our time singing soprano in the choir. She stood next to me and helped keep me on key!!! Ralph and Lucy were an inspiration to me as they were so faithful teaching our Sunday School Class. I sure learned a lot from them over the years. She will be missed. Know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time.

Janet, Brian and Bruce:
I am saddened by the passing of your mom but am glad to know she has a new body and is reunited with your dad. Your mom was a huge influence on my life and on Lisa after we first were married. She was indeed a beautiful Southern lady and served as a shining example of how we should all conduct our lives. I'm grateful to have grown up around your mom and dad and pray God will comfort you and your family today and in the days to come.

Bruce and Susie, Sorry for your loss. I did not know Mrs. Kunze well, but I do remember her always being very gracious and kind to a young kid in the Bakers Rack. Beautiful woman; beautiful obituary.

Dear Bruce, Janet and Brian,
It is with sadness, but fond memories, that I learned your sweet mother had died. Growing up your family played a key roll in our church: your grandmother and mother in the choir; your dad teaching Sunday School; the close camaraderie of the Couples Class that included us kids in their fun. They loved us and taught us what was expected and important. We were blessed by their faith. I am sorry for your loss.
