Always enjoyed talking with Stully at the flying field. His stories were always great, whether he was talking about airplanes or life in general. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my friend.

Candle

When he moved back to Kentucky, I asked him to come shoot some trap with me. The first night when we arrived, another shooter walked up to me and asked, Who'd you bring with you tonight. Oh, this is Uncle John instead of saying John Stull. Well, it stuck. At all the trap shoots, to everyone he was known as Uncle John. We spent many a nights at the local gun clubs, playing shooting games for a dollar a round. Great memories, you'll be missed.

John Stull was a Navy man, a cattle farmer, a pretty good shot but most of all he was my friend. Richard Hayden
