"Member of Class of 1990 OCHS. Have not seen Jane in years but I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. What a bright soul she always was; her wit and humor were second to none. My son is getting married this weekend, so I regret not being to attend any services. May you find God's peace and understanding."
"I am heartbroken for Katie, Graham, and your family. I will always consider Jane my sister and I am eternally grateful to your family for embracing me as one of your own.
I have the best childhood memories and they all include Janie. She taught me how to french braid my hair and how to make homemade donuts by dropping raw biscuits into hot oil and coating them with powdered sugar - Yum! I fondly remember roller skating and ice skating with Jane and our friends. Paddling a canoe with Jane in the streets when your neighborhood flooded is another memory that stands out. Smile. Her July 16 birthday was the highlight of the summer - going to Trailaways once a year for Jane's birthday party was epic fun. In later years, we would swim at Atlantis Swim Club and have a blast in the wave pool. There were countless slumber parties where we'd share late night talks about our hopes and dreams and, of course, sneak out to run to the drugstore to stock up on junk food, including Jane's favorite Funyuns. Ha!
Jane fought the good fight and finished the race with her trademark humor, grace, genuine love of life, her selfless service to others and her fierce loyalty to family and friends, especially her children, her greatest blessings.
I am certain that Jane was greeted at Heaven's gate by her dear daddy where they are enjoying their eternal reward. I will miss Jane's smile, the twinkle in her eye, and the stories she would share about her beloved children.
I am sad because life got so busy the past few years and we weren't able to spend much time together because we were both consumed with family needs and work commitments. I had hoped we would reconnect when life slowed down. I will miss my friend, Jane, but I will cherish the memories of her forever. Jane's bright light will continue to shine through her children and extended family.
May God grant you peace, comfort, and consolation during this difficult time of loss. Love, Molly (Meister) Roebker and Family"
